Straining at the slips, Americans are ready to let it rip this summer, according to the latest State of the American Traveler study from our friend Dave Bratton at Destination Analysts.
Intent to travel in 2013 is up a whopping 6.7% since last July...and is higher than at any time since the turn of the decade. At the same time, those saying they will actively search for travel discounts in the next twelve months dropped to 51%, down from 63% at the same time three years ago.
Lots more good stuff too, including how many of us traveled with pets (12%), used QR codes (6%) and hooked up with somebody random while on the road (5%).
The report can be found in the Trends section of the Library at DMOpro.
Work it!
