One of the parts of this sensational gig is having the opportunity to interface with community stakeholders as we consult Destination Marketing Organizations around the country. And, it's a rare occasion when someone doesn't uncork a great line that begs to be shared.
Yesterday's favorite: "Shoot anything that flies. Claim anything that falls."
Happily, he wasn't referring to his community's DMO but, rather, to the practice of other organizations around the country that don't have a defined plan of attack. But, we all must ask ourselves...have we been (or are we) guilty of such a modus operandi?
