Back when I was a rock radio programmer years ago (yea, that's me), a butthead managed to grab a number of my business cards off a receptionist's desk during a visit to the station. A couple weeks later he used them to get backstage at a Tom Petty concert and made a complete ass of himself (and, obviously, my station and my good name). The Chicago MCA rep was new to town and hadn't met me personally, so he simply assumed the jerk at the food trough was me.
When I, totally unaware of what had transpired the night before, took his call the next day, everyone in the office could hear him screaming at me through the receiver. In time, I was able to calm him down and convince him that it wasn't me.
That experience should have sparked my entreprenuerial creativity to start a company like this one (courtesy of DDB Sydney). Once again...too late to a great idea.
Wow and they call me "Welcome Back Koter."
