The Rock and Pop Masters (dumb name for a hot band) blew into town for the 2-day Taste of Madison...and tore the place down last night.
Former Survivor lead vocalist Jimi Jamison was in fine form on his featured songs and former Pat Travers guitarist Jerry Riggs simply cooked. Toss in a surprise guest appearance from Joe Lynn Turner (former Deep Purple/Rainbow) launching into an impromptu version of "Hush," and it was a great couple o' sets.
Only disappointment with the set list was the omission of Jimi's "Rock Hard"...but, the Taste is a family event :)
Turner and Riggs return this afternoon and will be joined by Pete Rivera (Rare Earth) and Mike Pinera (Blues Image/Iron Butterfly/Ramatam). Ought to rock even harder.
If you're near Madison, swing by.
