A recent study, entitled "Tomorrow's Tourist," suggests that today's children (and tomorrow's consumer) may reject travel in favor of being a virtual tourist. According to the report, as in-home technology becomes richer, future consumers "will find out-of-home activity too 'action-poor'."
Sigh...
I asked my 11 year old son his thoughts about Tomorrow's Tourist. His response "When my PS3 can do room service and give me a real indoor pool then you have something to worry about."
