Except in many older hotels with small bathrooms, they’ve been installed incorrectly. Because, by using the holes from the original rod, the bathroom door now can’t open far enough for one to sit straight on the toilet.
So, like the hundred-feature alarm clocks and the fashion lighting fixtures that take 5 minutes to figure out how to activate, it’s just another design flaw made by people that likely don’t use the product. And, I’m betting that the GMs of these hotels haven’t spent a full night in their hotel, testing their product.
Or they’d have their maintenance staff drill new holes...so that their fancy rods don’t get in the way of their guests’ use of said product.
Just a thought...
That made me laugh, as I just got back from a conference in western PA and the curved shower curtain rod was pretty much hanging off the wall ... probably from someone trying to open the bathroom door! LOL.
