Interesting debate over at Brand Channel on whether mobile devices are behind some recent logo changes. The question: are brands changing logos so that they render more effectively on an online or mobile screen?
Or, is it Facebook? Ever see a logo on Facebook that is unreadable because its sides are shaved off? It's because the online behemouth constrains images to a square. If your logo isn't...you'll have to resize it, making it smaller and smaller and smaller until it fits in the square.
Is this the end of the horizontal logo? We have but Facebook to thank.
