Simple Man

We were talking last night about those people in this world who have miles and miles of potential...yet choose the path of least resistance. Who don't choose college. Who don't choose the race of rats. Who choose, instead, a life of simplicity, love, laughter and family.

I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I often look upon those that selected the other path with a combination of curiosity and envy.

The original, of course, was pure Ronnie and Skynyrd. But, for this Musc Friday, I'm kinda diggin' Shinedown's cover of "Simple Man".

And, "hell yeah" to all the Simple Men out there. You stand as a beacon to those of us that bought into the concept of all that and a bag of chips.

Maybe one day we'll have the guts to join you.
