It's one of the most iconic tourism attractions in the world. The destination bears the same name. Over 22 million people visit the site every year.
And, the State is proposing to shut it down so it can replace some bridges.
That's right, Niagara Falls may be "de-watered" for a few months in the next couple years...and our friend (and director of Niagara's DMO) John Percy can't wait.
That's because, without water, Niagara Falls could be an even bigger attraction than it is in its natural state. Think of the once-in-a-lifetime chance to see an iconic attraction like it hasn't been seen since the 1960s. For tourists that have already seen the Falls, this will be an amazing chance to spur a repeat visit. And, for those who see the Falls for the first time dry...they'll likely come back to see them wet.
Shutting down an attraction has never been as deliciously anticipated.
