If you have nothing of interest to say, it's probably better to sell your share of voice to someone that does. At least you'll come away with some cash out of the deal.
That was my thought as I moved between gates at MSP last week and saw this sign (click to enlarge) touting that the airport now has "high efficiency motors on our moving walkways."
First off, I didn't see any high efficiency motors actually "on" the moving walkways. My guess is that they power the walkways and are likely located somewhere below.
Regardless of the misguided grammar, however...the real question is, who cares? Would you choose to route through MSP rather than DTW because they have high efficiency motors. More importantly, would you choose NOT to route through MSP if they didn't. Have you ever been on a moving walkways and wished that the motors below were highly efficient?
No, no and...errr, no.
So, wouldn't it make more sense to sell that banner to a bookstore, restaurant or other retailer?
At least you'd make some coin. But...that's just me.
