We have, for years, used a local dry cleaner, for no other reason than they have same day service and a drive-up window that is close by.
Convenience.
But, at what point does convenience take a back seat to quality?
After ruining two suit coats (to which they refused responsibility, saying, "you must have brought the coats in wet") and mixing up our order with a significantly smaller person's cleaning ("well, your mobile phones share the same last two numbers and you both favor the same colors"), it was time to look for other options.
Amazing that this local chain dry cleaning icon in our town averages less than 3 stars on Yelp. Who knew?
Apparently, their business model is based upon convenience...when an increasing number of consumers want quality.
We're trading up.
But, it's a thought for us all. Are we offering convenience...or quality? Both would be the ultimate goal. But, if you can only provide one, shouldn't it be quality?
Just a thought...
Great post.
