It was one of those WTF moments the other day when Terri shared a review from the Buffalo News of Cheap Trick's recent show at Darien Lake.
They opened for Poison? I mean, no disrespect to Brett Michaels...but, a band ensconced in the Rock Hall of Fame that scores of the top names in music say was one of the biggest influences in their life opening for anybody is a head-scratcher.
But, as the reviewer said, "perhaps the band is taking subversive pleasure in, say, performing an edgy, alt-punk Velvet Underground tune for a hair-metal crowd."
Whatever...it reminded me it's time to go back to the well on this sultry Music Friday for some 40-year old Trick...and one of my favorites from their second album.
While I so love their new stuff...today, it's "Southern Girls."
