Columbia Records didn't quite know what to do with this band (not unlike our examples from last week's Music Friday). The first single from the debut album "The Time Has Come" went nowhere. But, when Columbia stripped down the 11-minute monster that was the band's tour de force into a version that radio would play, the band became legend.
