I will admit that I winced a bit when 150 travel-related associations recently released a joint statement that consumers should keep traveling, making their decisions on fact and not hype last week. Of course, the facts last week were far different than the facts this week. And, I still don't believe we are receiving all the information we should to be able to collectively understand the severity of this moment in time.
Bringing the whole crisis into focus, Skift's Julius Solaris nailed it in his post yesterday.
For us, it has been a fascinating 7-day stretch. I met with over 30 people last week in Ohio with many still offering to shake my hand (for all but a Mayor, I demurred). In the past two days, our completely full calendar of client interactions has cleared through the end of the month.
So, hey...if you wanna catch up, we're actually in office this week.
