Online, looking for a rental house the other day for a family gathering. One house stood out among the rest...but one in our group really needs for there to be an area to sunbathe. Unfortunately, all the online pictures of the pool showed it in shade.
Not to worry. I reached out to the management company representing the property to ask how many hours the pool was in full sun. I received the following message 18 hours later:
"After you book the property and are 30 days away from checking in, you will receive the name and number of your Guest Contact who will be able to answer specific questions about the sunlight at the property."
Ummmm, that's not how this works.
Bu-bye. Here's hoping you didn't just piss away $2,600 by using a management firm that is clueless.
PREACH!!! My husband and I turned our rentals into airbnb's due to rent forgiveness during the pandemic. He works in real estate and I work in hospitality. I keep telling him there is a HUGE difference between the two and it is taking him a long time to see this. So thank you! I will be sharing this example with him!
