We lost a true original last week with the passing of Jerry Jeff Walker. While he'll likely be remembered best for writing (but not having the hit with) "Mr. Bojangles," the man was a disruptive innovator of the first degree, being a progenitor of the "Outlaw Country" movement.
His coolest talent was interpreting other songwriters' compositions, like "Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother." But, on this Music Friday, we say farewell with one of my favorites. This is "I Like My Women (a Little on the Trashy Side)."
Life on terra firm just became a little less fun.
I didn't know he wrote "I Like My Women (a Little on the Trashy Side)". I always laughed at the lyrics! Great remembrance. RIP JJW

Guess I should have been clearer. Chris Wall wrote the original. But, you're right, it's a classic.
