Of course, there were women that were breaking new musical ground in the '60s and '70s. The list is long. But, it was 50 years ago this Spring that Carole King broke through. To be sure, she had had an amazing run as a composer through the '60s...but she was always in the background.
She stepped out in the early '70s...and her album "Tapestry" became one of the biggest albums of all time. Honestly...almost every album has a couple boners that are simply there for filler. On this LP...every track was hit worthy.
On this Music Friday, we remember and celebrate this amazing album with "I Feel the Earth Move."
