Seen in a small town in Northwest Wisconsin.
Honestly...it now takes a $1000 "signing bonus" to get someone to even consider working at a fast food chain?
We are in the midst of an alternative "Atlas Shrugged" world.
For those not familiar with the Ayn Rand classic, it is a story of major industrialists simply shuttering their corporations rather than facing draconian government taxes and regulations. Today...it's just the opposite.
Sigh.
Yes, what is being unpackaged (and replicating globally) is an alternate version of Atlas Shrugged - which interestingly (according to the LA Times) was voted the 2nd most influential book (after the Bible) in a 1991 Library of Congress survey. The main character, John Galt, vowed to "stop the motor of the world" so it could reset from its unproductive ways - and start anew. Kinda sorta feels like a little of that might be going on too...
