So blown away last month by Mr. Sipp at the Mississippi Governor's Conference on Tourism that I completely spaced on that same weekend's 45th anniversary of the release of "Bat Out of Hell," the amazing first collaboration between Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf.
While "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" was the monster, it's the album tracks surrounding that epic number that make the album worthy of a front-to-back listen. My favorites of the bunch on this Music Friday...
Fast: "All Revved Up and No Place to Go." (Live version)
Slow: "Heaven Can Wait." (Live Version)
And the bonus...here's Karla DeVito (Meat's on stage foil on "Paradise") with her version of "Heaven Can Wait."
Sublime.
Excellent choice!
