Those that have been following (and shaking their head in disbelief) the political machinations over the Aloha State's contract for Tourism Marketing will not be surprised when they hear that bills in both the House and Senate intend to dismantle the Hawaii Tourism Association.
For politicians, it's often more advantageous to their individual brand to replace than reimagine...and we now have pending legislation that would do just that.
The House bill would create a "destination management" agency and it would be headed by a three-member commission appointed by the governor.
And that would be a better solution? A three-member commission appointed by a Governor?
And just how would that produce any measure of diverse thought, deliberation and action?
Anyone?
