As Sir Elton John winds down his touring career, an intrepid fan has ranked his top 378 songs from worst to best. I'm not sure there was a criteria other than the writer's personal preference. And, that's OK, I guess...because I sure don't have the time to rank his catalogue.
No spoilers here...but on the 50th anniversary of Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only the Piano Player and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, there are a bunch of tracks from those two LPs that make his Top 100.
Mine, however, lean in a different direction. And on this Music Friday, we'll share three:
The album track that always stops me in my tracks: "Indian Sunset."
The story of my life with my ex: "Tonight."
And the song with which I took back my life: "I Want Love."
Bernie was the lyricist of my life. Elton was the magic.
The fan must have a lot of time on his/her hands, wow! A few too many modern day takes on a few songs (seriously, get over it), but a fun list to go threw.
Best "Mic Drop" line: "If you’re gonna talk shit about somebody’s sister, do it this well."

There are a lot of sensational one-liners. We all would re-order this list to our own taste...but a herculean effort.
