The Poster

It was, to be sure, a different time. But there were two posters that adorned the walls of the bedrooms of young males in the '70s.

Farrah Fawcett's was the hands down winner...but there was another, a Trinidadian beauty named Sintra Bronte. You likely don't know the name, but say "Jamaica Wet T-Shirt" and men of a certain age will nod appreciatively.

Great story on how she was discovered by accident by the agency handling Jamaica Tourism at the time. And, how that poster made Jamaica a must-go destination in the '70s.

Like I said, a different time.

And, Sintra's just been honored with a statue in her name.

Pretty cool, 50 years later.
